Default Help-No throttle response

I have a 99 wolverine that has no throttle response/low end power. Last time I took it out it ran strong now it cant even climb hills because it is so underpowered. When you hit the throttle it is slow to respond them once it builds rpms it feels like it is running ok. this is the only symptom so far . I took the carb off and took it apart and cleaned it then put it back together with the same result. Maybe I didn't do a thorough even job cleaning it. any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm afraid to, but your right thats probably what I'll check next. Does anybody have any ideas that would be less expensive to fix just to make me feel better at least.

Check your carb, you may just have a clogged jet.

sorry i just read the rest of your post "you already checked the carb".

I still think a NEW carb kit with new clean jets is cheaper than a ring job.

how many hours are on the motor? if the timing has slipped, that might make it run like that as well. yamaha motors are usually bulletproof so i dont think that would be the problem, but then again it does not hurt to cover all your bases.
