Raptor vs. trx250r
#11
Although the banshee and raptor have very different power delivery, when both machines are stock there very close in a drag race. When you start to modify engines, the 2 strokes respond so much more for so much less money. Yes, a banshee with pipes will send the raptor home. The raptor gains power with a unrestricted exhaust system, but not the same gain as the banshee.
Also, I've won alot of drag races at silver lake on my warmed over 85 ATC 250R. It takes more than a banshee with pipes to get by this 250.

Listen, if you want to be realistic here, what do you think a stock Raptor would do to a stock TRX? I think it would humiliate a TRX in a drag race. With a $1200 dollar budget to upgrade the Raptor's suspension and the TRX's engine I think the Raptor would win in a motocross situation as well. You guy's must admit that since 1989 people have been dumping thousands of dollars into thier TRX's. Raptor mod's are only beginning to be developed. The TRX's days as the standard are numbered. The raptor may or may not replace it but something definately soon will.

Hmmm.....250R vs. 660R....I wonder????? I don't care what anyone says about the QUAD of the century. To me, the 250R is still the greatest, and alway's will be. The Raptor is nice. I will agree it was time for something NEW to come about. I'm just sorry that HONDA wasn't the one that made it happen. (Although they did start it with the 400EX.) Long live the trusty 250R. (Let's see what the PROS run this year at the GNC'S!!)
