You know everyones riding style is different, if this weren't true they could make one quad and we would all be the same. The Rap are tried and true, yes they may not do well on a 90 foot table top but that isn't why they are made. Ride what you like to ride and if peoples quad are faster, let them be because there is always one faster. Fun is the name of the game, what ever you ride fun is our destination.

 

I ride a V-Force......which is easily the most disrespected sport quad ever made. A lot of people even refuse to recognise it as a sport quad at all. It's alright tho......I've riden alot of different quads and I have never riden a machine that made me want to trade my big fat pig in for any one of them. To each his own......right? There will always be people who have to talk trash......if for no other reason just to make themselves feel better about thier own insecurities.

 

Im so glad to hear responses from mature riders i agree with all your opinions i love my raptor i think its the best of boyh worlds performance and comfort and reverse!! ive never had a wheeler with reverse and i would not trade reverse for anything ive had a bunch of machines in my 26 years of riding first age 9 yamie mx80 then 84 XL200,74 DT250,88 blaster,84 YZ80,86 LT250R,82 BIGRED(that was a fun wheeler one of my favorites),87 CR125, and my all time favorite 86 honda atc 350X that machine was a BLAST! i wish i never sold it then i had a kid didnt have a atv just my two harleys and when my boy turned 7 i sold my low rider and bought wheelers so we could ride together i was looking for a banshee and i could not find a good deal on one but i saw the raptor in the classifieds so i went and tried it even though i had been told they were slack? but when i tried it i was sold! it cranked it is got a few go fast goodies probably why,the torque was mind blowing im glad i bought it im not glad i bought a kazuma falcon for my boy it hasnt held up under him he rides it hard( hes is a natural rider) and the chassis has broke alot even the handlebar mount broke right off riding in the pits one day thank god he wasnt hurt well hope i havent borde anyone with my rambleing. ride hard but ride safe keep the rubber pointing down but crashin dont mean you cant ride it means ur ridein!!!

 

Just ask the 450 guys how long befor they do a rebuild on thier motor compared to a raptor? I love all quads but when you have a screemer like the 450 they are higher maintenance.

 

Yeah ....well my XY&Z can beat you 123 cause mine has a top fuel dragster engine from John Forces own personal car in it. My uncles friends cousins neighbor bought it a tag sale in 1997 in Texas for $567,978.00. I mounted it my self over 6 years in my back yard. It goes 243miles per hour and has wings, 4 wheel drive, three winches that can pull out a stuck dump truck, and a super duper light system that makes all of the local cops scared of me and I tell them that I pay their salary and I date their daughters cause I am the best person in the world! If you own a Polaris, Suzuki, Yamablah, Kawasucki, CanDamn, KTM, John Deere or any thing other than what I have, YOU SUCK!

For crying out loud people, do they really hear themselves?

Ride what makes you happy as fast as you feel safe with as many or little mods as you want!

Ummm. Don't. First year yfz and no rebuild. Runs great has all power I need. Depends on how you ride it. Ride yours as hard as most youngn's do their 450's and I'd bet it won't hold up as long as theirs do. Thats one reason I do think they are good for all around quads. People who abuse there rides will get a longer life out of the 450's since they are designed to take harder riding.

It seems, especially in the younger ones, that everyone wants the biggest, baddest, and fastest. Heck I just want to have fun like others are saying. Crud, I had a kid on a all stock 400ex say that his would smoke my 450. No what I told him??? Ok. Wanna race he said. No. Why scared? No, there is no fun in ragging your wheeler for 1/8 of a mile. Told him if he wanted to go riding or had some good trails let me know... Of course then as he rode off I taught him a thing or to.

I have to agree. ride with what you have fun on. I went from a polaris sportsman 700 (it was a tank but I loved it) to a warrior and couldn't be happier. sure, in a drag, my friends ancient '87 honda 250x will keep right up with me and another friends 400ex will blow me away but in the trails, you can only go so fast. some other guys I know have 450s and tell me all the time that I should get one, but I'm the one who's going riding almost every weekend while they are busy trying to fix theirs. hell, my uncle has a polaris 250 trailblazer. its an automatic 2 stroke but he wouldn't get rid of it for anything and enjoys riding it all the time.
