I really don't want to be the bearer of bad news but we had the same thing happen. We replaced the seals and it still burned the oil. We split the cases again and when we really checked into it we found a small crack in the engine case itself. I know this isn't a cheap fix but that is the problem we had.

The crack that we found was on the inside of the motor, as far as running it, it has to be putting out alot of smoke and another concern is when the oil is gone you will be sucking air which will lean out your quad alot. I am not sure if the block off would have anything to do with it or not. If you send me a PM I will give you the number to my engine builder and I am sure he would give you some valuable info. He rocks with Blaster motors, I believe he is getting about 35 HP out of ours with a stock carb.

another thing i remembered is when i got the quad thats when i put a oil block on it. the gear oil that was in it was thick. i replaced it with gearsaver 75 weight synthetec which is alot thinner, and like i said it wasnt doing this before. so if i put a thicker oil back in it do u think that may help. THANKS
