Default 2007 Grizz

Have 4000 miles on it and it quit charging the battery. Fuses are OK. You would have thought Yamaha would have a way of telling you weather the system is working instead of waiting till the Battery is dead.

if you put a volt meter on your battery it should read around 13.68 volts . if the voltage goes down when you rev it up its the rectifier thats gone , if your rectifier is ok its probably your stator needs rewinding . check your rectifier first . it would be good if they had a charging light on the dashboard .

Thanks for the reply. The votage remains the same ,12.5, weather running or not.
