660 will not go to high speed performance. removed all to the clutch and cleaned.
belt look fine. not sure if i should go into clutch or not. Will a worn v-belt cause the motor to drag at high speed, over say 10 mph?

Check carb and gas tank vent tubes and make sure they aren't kinked or clogged.
Drain carb float bowl, could have water in it.
Try fresh gas. Add SeaFoam.
Check primary jet in carb, could be clogged.
Change fuel tank filter and clean fuel pickup screen in tank, it could be clogged.

Worn belt won't cause engine to bog, worn belt will slip and cause engine to rev up but quad will move slow.

Does it sound like the engine is dying? or does it sound strong and just wont go anywhere?, if the engine is dying...Open the carb up again, take everything out that you can, submerge the carb body in carb cleaner for an hour, take it out, blow out all the holes with compressed air, blow out all the jets, re-assemble. Drain the gas tank(even take it off and tip it upside down), re-fill then try to run. Make sure all electrical connections are water free, and tight, especially the spark plug boot.

Procount, since you said it was in deep water check the exhaust pipe, especially if you have a custom slip on pipe. It could be that the fiberglass packing is sopping wet and stopping up the exhaust.

If that's the case, repack the pipe and snorkle it, if running deep or mud. If factory pipe, stand the quad straight up to drain out the water, and snorkle it.

So you are saying it runs great in Low, but you can't move the shift lever to High?. Or, are you saying that you can shift to High, but the engine bogs down with no power?.

Please be more specific.
