Help 660 raptor problems

Default Help 660 raptor problems

Alright guys and gals i kno my name say 426honda but im yamaha all the way and my raptor is giving me problems and i have no idea what it is. I was riding today and my chain come off and hit the line next to my shifter and pulled it out of the block and it started spitting out oil now my reverse light is staying on

Default Help 660 raptor problems

Probably ripped the neutral switch out of the block and busted the block. The right way to fix it is to get a new left side engine case, but you can rig it up with some JB Weld. You'll have to drain the rest of the oil out or tilt the bike up on it's side to keep the oil away from the JB Weld until it hardens. Make sure you keep that chain tight next time - I check mine before every ride, and if it's not an O-ring chain, it will probably have to be adjusted after every ride.

Default Help 660 raptor problems

Well i got the fitting back in and its no longer leaking oil thankfully my block isnt busted...but now my reverse light is still staying on and its acting like its bouncing off a rev limiter at like 2000 rpms and it isnt the parking brake??? Any info on that?

You had to of ripped the reverse switch wire or knocked it off. You need to fix that

haha i did this one night the cure is to pull in the cltuch then it does it again evry 6 seconds. it should be just loop power/ground. one wire.

ok. that is the reverse sensor you need to buy a new one its cheap money and it will run right

Remember to fix the root cause of your problem, the chain coming off. Is it properly tensioned, do you have worn out sprockets, is the chain shot? Good luck with the fix.
