Default Blaster oil injection question

Instead of buying the oil blockoff kit, could you just pull the tube off the carb and extend it to reach back to the oil tank. It will just recirculate the oil, right? I know that if you just cut the hoses, the oil pump will get brittle and break.

No you would also have to bypass the the oil line filter and the oil tank itself. It would be smarter to just get the kit,and anyway only like fraction of the oil injectors break down.

But when those fraction break, boy do they wreak havoc.

Oh yea! Melted pistons, seizures, some of the fixs are near 1200$ because of failed oil injection, and then once it's all together it's pour and pray to find your mix ratio if you get rid of it.

Default Blaster oil injection question

i have a 2006 blaster, and i left the injector hooked up and keep oil in it, but i also add a little bit of oil in my tank also, this way i know i am getting at least a little oil, it smokes a little more, and is more easy to foul plugs, but in my case i am running pretty hard any way and this isn't an issue for me,

remove the whole pump, tank and block the hose going into the carb or it will suck air. go up 2 sizes on the main jet and mix it 40 to 1 if you leave the main jet the same it will lean outbecause now your mixing oil in the gas and trying to flow it through a small jet that usually flows straight gas. most people think the ore oil you run the richer it runs.

sure , but you don't have to rejet your carbs, ive owned probably a dozen blasters, and all you have to do is keep oil in the mixer and add a little to your fuel tank just to be safe.
