Default warrior rar brake caliper leaking fluid

After taking my 2003 warrior 350 to the local riding park, I noticed that my rear caliper was leaking brake fluid. It seems to be coming from the rubber boot that goes between the main body and the parking brake lever. How do I fix this?

is it a line that is leaking or is the fluid coming from the caliper itself? if it is the rubber boot that is around the piston, you will have to replace the caliper.

cadillac why couldnt you just replace the boot if thats where the leak is. i cant look at mine at the time but i think the boot is sold as an individual part.

It's the rubber o-ring seals on the caliper piston that are leaking. You don't have to replace the caliper, just rebuild it with new seals (about $12) and it's real easy. If you let your brake pads wear down too far (past the brake material) it will bust the seals every time. When these bust, the rubber boot leaks because it is not designed to hold the pressure of the fluid. The rubber boot on the outside is only a dust shield.
