Default dies when shaken

89 moto4 250

if the bike's just idling, and i stand beside it, grab the racks, and shake it side to side...the motor dies.

it's been running poorly under normal operation... like acting like it's not getting enough gas.

i went through the carb today... to clean out any crud... didn't reset anything though.

any ideas?

Make sure petcock valve is on. Ive done the same thing, Basically it has very little gas in the engine so when you shake it gas stops going into it.

have you made sure that the coil power wires and spark plug wire are clean and connected good? it is really worth checking.
