#1
hi to all you atv racers there
am looking for a 450cc quad but im not sure which is the best 450cc out there
i personaly preferr the yfz ( no stick plz) i just want to now if the ltr or the trx is better
i currently ride a quadzilla stinger 250 r (small i know
it does 71mph
i generally just ralli about the local woodland and trax
my freind says that the yfz's shocks bottom out if you ride it hard and jump it allot is that true
so i put it to you 'what 450cc should i go for then?'

It's hard to argue with you choice in a bike if there is a 450 class race the yfz has won it atleast once! Plus the yfz probobly has the best aftermarket support of any bike going! The only other one in that class I would personally look at would be the KTM. JMO

I rode a yfz last weekend. Jumped off a kfx450r and on the yamaha. I was surprised at the difference. Both are mostly showroom (yfz has airbox & jetted & Kaw has only rear sprocket change). The yfz is fast but only at higher rpm. The kfx pulls better at any range. The kfx just fit & rode better and performed better IMHO. kfx also has efi & reverse. I know there are those that will tell me that all the things I mentioned can be fixed or tweaked with the yfz and they are right except for reverse & efi but still I was amazed at the difference between the two "similar" bikes. The kfx won hands down and would send me to the Kawasaki dealer if I was looking for a new bike.

The trx is a little outdated for a 450.The polaris outlaw 450mxr is now redesigned for this year and they lost like 30 pounds just by changing fastners and stuff.

Best thing to do is find the one the fits you ergonomically the best. You can add stuff to any of them to make them faster, get more torque, better suspension and so on.
But if your knees are in the handlebars, or you feel like you're going to tip over, none of that will do you any good.
