yfz450 reliability?

i am again thinking about getting a yfz.(just cant make up my mind!!!!) i was just wondering how they held up when being ridden hard? anybody have any complaints about it?is there a model year that had problems? thanks

They all were pretty good machines but of as allways the later the model year you buy the better the technology gets.
There are other things you should also consider as a plus with the YFZ they have the most aftermarket support of any 450 and it has won more races than any other 450 as it has also been around the longest of them all! JMO

I would not go with any 450 as a play machine I would stick with the 400 class or a Raptor 660/700 as these machines will lug alot better for trail riding esp the machines with EFI as there is alot less maintnence to perform on these machines!

They all need there adjustments but not as frequently as the 450 seem to. I like a machine that can do anything as far as slow trail riding to mx-ing and that is what the 700R was built for! AKA allaround quad!

yea i guess i would be in better shape buying one of those if they guy that said he was gonna buy my warrior wouldve actually picked it up.by the way my local dealer said he could send me out the door with a brand new 06 700 for 5500 and i didnt even say anything about trading my warrior. is 5500 a good deal?
