BLASTER NO SPARK
#1
Hello, I have a blaster with no spark. After searching through several forums, with no answers I decided to do the following. It worked for me
I changed the CDI /Flywheel - magneto and coil. I checked the off on switch to be working. I checked for spark by removing the spark plug and connecting it to the coil as it sits on the head I removed the gas tank because I dont need it to start as I check for spark( real easy). I then looked at the wiring diagram and did the following.
PROCEDURE
B/W = black wire with white stripe
B Black wire
Remove the hood /nose plastic to expose the wiring harness
Find theB/W wire connector and the B wire connector and remove them.
ON THE MALE END of the B/W and B wire, make contact using a small jumper wire. I want the B/W and the B tied together.
Try for spark again.
NOTE: This will disable the kill switch, you will need to remove your temporary connection to stall the engine.
If someone can add why removing the carb and throttle sensors out of the circuit makes a difference and can they be disabled without being an issue?
