hey guys im gonna buy a raptor soon
and i have a few choices to pick from...
2001 raptor 660 for - $1900
or
2006 raptor 350 for - $1800

is this your first quad? I wouldnt recommend a 660 for a newbie to the sport of ATV'n yes you might outgrow the 350 but it would be a better machine for a beginner and would still be an enjoyable machine for years to come.

The 01 rappys had tranny issues so i would inquire about if it has been rebuilt yet or not.

Your age, height, weight, riding history, and how the machine will be ridden would only help us to help you pick the right machine for you.

 

well lets see im 14 weigh about 125 i have rode and i am very good at it
ive had a dirtbike for 5 years im about 5.4 aswell
so i guys im an average 14 year old.. and i plan on dune riding mostly,
dunes and dirt trails, a little mudding not to much though, because i dont wannn burn out my engine or tran

 

z400 2009 EFI or a good 400ex

 

If you like the Raptors then go for a 660 but do stay away from the 01's. I would concure thoe a 400 class bike seems more of the correct bike for your age group no matter what skill you have! JMO

 

To help even more what kind of dirt bike?

 

I only see girls riding Raptor 350's, so don't buy a Raptor 350, all your friends will think you're gay. Plus they don't really have the power that you need for duning in deeper sand. I think the 660 is more bike than you will be able to handle. I think a 400EX or Z400 would suit your needs perfectly, you can find nice 400EX's for your price range, and they are excellent, very dependable quads.

Well I didn't see him post anything about his sexual preference. How do you know he ISN'T gay? Maybe he wants to look gay. Have you thought about that?

Well, if he wants to be gay, then now he knows what to buy. Maybe he can get some pink plastics for it and hang some tassles on the handlebars.

Why are you taking up for the gay community? Are you gay? I don't like gays. I'm scared to bend over in front of them.

 

im into the raptors....
i found a 350 the guy lives right here in my town i can get it for 1800
but idk if a 350 will be stronge enough...
i have a honda crf 150f
pretty powerful, but im into quads now so im selling it for one..
i cant really afford anything over 2grand...
so idk
and no im not gay
