mmm deer meat.
edit: what does it cost to have one professionally cut up by a butcher now?</end quote></div>
In Md it runs around $75-$100 to have it done, more if you want processed into jerky, bologna, etc. My dad & I cut up our own, he sends a some meat out to get bologna and hot dogs made, but the rest we do.

I dress my deer out in the woods back at camp then take the cut, 2 hams/legs, 2 front quarters, back loins to the butcher where I get cube steaks processed, sausage made, hams made, etc. It's $1 per pound where I am in Florida, Tampa area.

Very nice deer. That was the reason I got my first ATV. I shot a nice buck way back in the woods with a Ruger Blackhawk revolver. I am disabled and rode my dirt bike to get there, but it was not worth a darned to haul a deer out. I found a friend with a Honda three wheeler to haul it out for me and we had to weigh the front end down to keep it on the ground. After I bought an ATV, I found all sorts of things to do with it around the farm and in the woods. I now use a Rhino mostly around the farms and a 700 Grizzly for hunting and fun.
