04 YFZ450 electrical problem - need advice please [SOLVED]
#1
I have an 04 YFZ450 that died while out riding last week. Figured out as soon as I turned the key on the fuses blew.
Last night I tore the whole electrical system down including unplugging every plug on the front end but nothing helped. Then when I got to the battery box I reseated a few connections back there and it cleared. I could now turn the key on without the fuse blowing but now as soon as I pull the clutch handle it pops.
I'm about to bite the bullet and take it to a local shop but I thought I'd spend the weekend trying to see what I could figure out.
Any advice/suggestions/ideas would be appreciated.

I figured it out.
The light for the rear brake had come lose and melted to the muffler. That caused my original problem but when I was putting everything back together I swapped the starter relay and the cutoff relay.
Once I swapped them back it started right up.
Thanks....
