have you pulled the fuel line off the carb to see if the fuel is flowing out of the tank? that is the most simple way to check and rule out a blockage in the tank and shutoff valve. if it flows to the carb fine, then i agree with the above post with the float not operating correctly.

Clean the carb its easy follow these steps http://www.ripperd.com/ftp/admins/carb_rebuild/ If pilot jet is such just use the wire without removing it.

that link just took me to compare new atv's. i drained the gas out of the tank and carb. put new gas in and it started up first pull. ran for about 5 minutes and died. seemed like it was not getting gas. clogged jets?
