Have you checked the battery and the connections first? How about all of your grounds? What does the spark plug tell you? Water into the cylinder is not good. With enough water hydrolocking is a possibility. Does the engine turn over in a normal manner if you turn the crank via the crank acces cover on the left hand side of the machine? How does it feel? If abnormal, stop trying to start the engine before you damage your engine possibly even more.

I was talking about the threads on the end of the crank where the flywheel bolts on. I think I know what your talking about when you start it. Does it sound like its slipping making a real dry scraching noise if so that is your starter clutch. They go on raptors all the time when your friend replaces that starter clutch tell him that he should go with the one way starter clucth kit. Becuase what happens is when you first start the engine up your just supposed to run it off of the choke when your warming it up ,and when you start pressing the trottle when ideling (if it stall's that starter clucth will wind back breaking teeth on that sprocket.

You stated this before in this thread....

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>My problem now is it sounds like it's strugling to make a full revolution ( a full crank over) almost as if the battery is dead. I torqued everything down to specs</end quote></div>
What does a slipping 1 way starter clutch have to do with the problem you described above?

A Banshee does not have a 1 way starter clutch similar to a Raptor or other electric starter models and is a totally different set-up without a battery.

It's not his bike we were talking about. We were talking about his friends Raptor.
