it s 95 blaster and it wont spark. is there a common problem that makes it so it doesnt spark? do you think the TORS would be causing it? help appreciated.

it could be the ignition module or the coil and if it is how do you test them because i dont have a manual.
could the stator be messed up?

 

any of those would cause a no spark condition. start off by checking all connections and using a new plug.

 

i cheked all the connectors and they all look fine. i bought an ignition module and its on its way here.so i will test it when it gets here. he said he had to floor it all the way to shift from third to fourth, would that cause it to burn out?he also said it kept bogging when you started out to move. the coil is fine i tested it. not sure about the TORS though. i unplugged the main brain and it still didnt spark.

 

i dont think TORS makes it not spark, and unplugging the module wouldnt help even if it did. i cant tell you what it is though. check the stator, too sometimes water gets in there... or so i hear.

 

stator and flywheel are brand new. dont know what to point to now

 

It wouldn't hurt to check the ignition switch, I have heard of these going out. I would also check the ground wire as well. Nothing worse than an electrical gremlin YUK

 

or the keyway in the flywheel, i had issues with that before and long and behold .99 cent part

 

yea the keyways cause probs also, just for the heck of it unplug the key switch and see if it sparks.

 

one time when doin a blaster i forgot to hook up a wire to the throttle for tors and it wouldnt spark either,once i pluggd it in it was good. I have 4 or 5 cdi boxes layin round
