take off in 2nd gear, your bikes a 6 speed, also make sure you tires hook up. the 450 has way more bottom then you and has better suspension, so it prolly launches better than you.

Something don't sound right. Assuming your jetted properly and you talking about a drag race, that thing should not beat you off the line. My bro used to lean forward and rev to powerband and pop the clutch. It wouldn't stand up on him (granted he is about 245lbs) and would often spin the tires on asphalt. It was the deciding factor in our drags. If I could get him off the line or get as good of a launch I'd get him in the mid range otherwise I couldn't catch him. If your on dirt it'll be tough cause the 'shee won't get traction.

Drop a few teeth in the back and start in second. If you guys are matched in traction, you need to make sure your on the pipe when you launch and then you shouldn't be any issues.

Boost bottle waste of money in my opinion if your looking for upgrades go for a set of vforce 3 reeds.

PLUS, if you're running 20's in the rear or bigger, the Suzuki is running 18's, unless they were changed. That has a big difference on not only top speed, but also off the line starts. If he is running 18's, and you 20's, and no other gearing, there could be your problem.

Like you said, you get him on top speed but he gets you off the line. Tire size and gearing have that effect.

Good point. In my case my bro was running 18" on the 'shee. Not much around here could take him on launch.
