I was just curious, because I cannot figure out, why mostly racers, mx, setup their rides to have no idle. Just wondering, also some of my friends setup theirs that way, I just can't figure out why they would want it that way if they don't race or anything... ?

I dont know, but i can say that when I bought my kx125, it came from the factory with the idle turned right off. It wouldnt idle. I adjusted it so it would idle. I always wanted to know the answer to this too, it seems odd.

I'll be honest with you, I bought a 99 Banshee used with no idle and when I questioned the dealer about it he said it would actually push the quad harder in a turn with the idle on. I really don't know what the difference is.

The only thing I can think of, is when they bail or flip or fall off, the engine stalls out faster than with the idle being on. So your bike doesn't keep on going, or when on it's side doesn't keep the tires spinning. This is the only thing I can think of...what do you think? It isn't a rule to have no idle is it?, I wouldn't understand why.

I have never seen or heard of this, but it might be something to do with their jetting settings..
