Raptor 350 Clutch
#1
OK, new to the ATV Arena. The Raptor 350 is my first ATV. How long does the clutch normally last and how do you know it is going????
I have had this ride for about 11 months and have about 500 hours of trail riding on it.

Clutch slippage or dragging is a sure indication of the clutches wearing--if the cable is adjusted right. Also, if you have all the slack out of your clutch cable and it still won't function properly thats another sign its going out. Personally, I just change mine about once a year or less, depending on how much and what type of riding I have been doing. I slip the clutch alot, so I burn through them quicker than an average trail rider would. It more or less all depends on how you ride it and utilize the clutch

Yep the clutch life depends on your riding. If you pull heavy loads, carry 2 people all the time, race, pop wheelies excessively, or just hamma down on it all the time, the clutch plates probably need to be replaced about once a year. If you just do normal, easy riding the clutch plates may last about 5 years. Just replace them when they start to slip - when the engine sounds like it is revving more than normal and you're not going as fast as you normally would, especially right after you shift into a higher gear.

Thanks for info. Hey Raptor450. Love the pics of WVA. We went up there 4th of july weekend. Our first trip up there. Had an amazing time. I love the fact you can ride all day and not see the same trail twice. One more question. What is the model number of the DUNLOP tires on the 700R??
