Default Modded Blaster

I have a stock 2005 yamaha blaster 6-speed. my friend has a stock 2005 yamaha raptor 350 6-speed. The blaster just barly goes 3mph slower then the raptor.. i was just wondering if i were to get v-force 3 reeds and Toomey b1 pipe n silencer. if i would be able to take him.
And is it possible to get my blaster geared for higher speed.. ive heard u can do it if u have enough power within the quad.

you can do it all you have to do is go up a tooth or two on the front sprocket
but if your tires are to big you will have a little trouble getting going

Keep it to bolt ons.engine work I have heard makes the engine volatile and prone to seized pistons.I have noticed that modded blasters always have trouble beating raptor 350's.

I doubt you will be able to beat him with just them mods you mentioned. My buddy had those mods and more on his Blaster, and his was geared for higher top speed and he still could not beat a stock Warrior.

Who cares if you beat him, anyway?

yes all raptor 350s, warriors, blasters, and banshees are 6 speeds, in order to take him for sure ud prolly have to get a toomey b1 kit with jets, vforce3 reeds, K&N filter at least and maybe advance timing and go with a +1 fr sprocket. Porting with a pipe is the biggest mod believe it or not. if you got an agressive port job then ud prolly smoke the raptor.

Not on a Blaster he wouldn't. he would have to put some serious dough into that motor.

a raptor 350 not 660 or 700, with the right porting and pipe it will smoke a 350

I know what you were talking about. A Blaster will not smoke them. Period.

warriors and craptor 350 are slower than ***, sprocket change would make the difference, but a good porting job and a good pipe and carb setup will beat 400 exs at least mine will
