Carb piece help

What is this piece? i went to clean the carb on my 99 warrior because it would stall when i would give it full throttle and it was in the bowl. Do i need it and where does it go?

looks like the baffle that goes on the main. its there to keep gas near the main jet, especially durring a hard takeoff.

you dont have to put it back on, but i would. the dudes at yamaha put it ther for a reason.
