overshift?

overshift?
When shifting to the next gear (1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd,etc.) I have to "tap" shift lever back down for it to engage.Seems to work better after I have ridden it for awhile. Oh...it's a '96 4x4 400 Kodiak...What and why is this? thanks
