What does reaming spindles mean

It means that the ball joints that will be on your new arms will not fit into the stock spindles.
If the arm kit comes with a tapered reamer...you can just hook it up to a drill and make the holes slightly larger according to the instructions.
My lsr arms came with the reamer...sometimes it is extra.

take out the old ball joints , then just get your reamer and start on the outside , twisting and pushing the reamer , keep checking to see if your ball joints will fit, don't ream to far cause the taper is what holds the ball joints tight, just enough room to allow most of the tapered shaft to slip in to the hole, then use the nut and washer to tighten and seat up the shaft, you should be able to tighten up the nut real tight, and then be able to loosen the nut while the shaft stays in place, just ream it with hardley no room at all, after you are able to wiggle the threaded part thru this should be enough

dstevens hit it right about on the head. It seems harder than it is. Just take your time and keep checking to see if the new arm fits.
To be safe...do the job by hand (with out a drill or press) The reamer probably has a hole in the top for the included bar that come with it.
Apply pressure and twist. A bit of wd40 or metal cutting oil will make the job less painful.
Just to make things easier... Once you get one side all lined up and fit properly. Put the reamer back in the hole and wrap a piece of tape around it even with the hole. Then you will know how far to go with the other side.
good luck.
