what about the 400ex? how are they?

 

I heard they are having a lot of problems with the KTM's, which is usually the case the first year a machine comes out. I'd rather have a piece of junk Yamaha any day over a piece of junk Polaris or KTM. At least Yamaha parts are easy to find.

Anyway, the 400EX is probably the most reliable quad I have ever seen. Fill 'em up with oil and check the gas and go! My friends beat the crap out of them and the 400 just takes it and wants more. They only have moderate speed and acceleration compared to the 450's, with a top speed of around 65 stock.

hey bot, in atvsport they said the KTM and polaris both had top speeds of 73.

 

Yeah, I saw that. But who gets there 1st? KTM has their motor dialed in better than Polaris does. Polaris is no paper weight though, they can run with the best of them.

Inauguration day 2009 Personally I like Obama but thats my opinion.But this ain't the place to talk about it.

 

what do you guys think i could do to a Z or EX to make them just as fast as a stock 450? (or even faster)

actually their 100 yard dash times the polaris was 6.05 and KTMs ran 6.15s

i diddnt believe it but..they look legit.
