Grizzly 700 question
The 09's have a updated shifter, thicker CV boots, softer seat, better towing capacity, and IMO better colors and yes the PS is worth it's weight in gold! Test drive one with and one without and I promiss you will be comming home with one that has PS!

Well I have to 09 grizzly 550 and the power steering is worth every extra penny you spend.... the 700 and the 550 are the same body and everything.. only difference is the motor... Ive had mine up to 57MPH and it runs great!!! so if u are looking to save a lil cash i would recommend the 550 although the 700 is bigger but prolly doesnt run much faster.....

I test rode both and would agree the 550 is a great quad pretty close to same power output thoe the 700 felt like it had a little bit better lower end push. I chose 700 due to riding at higher elevations where you need every CC you can get! Welome to the form great insight on the Grizz!

If money is an issue, buy an 08 which you should be able to find at a reduce price and use the savings for EPS; if not go with an 09 with EPS. EPS is definitely worth the extra money. My sons and son in law are "manly men" and did not think too much of the EPS until they rode mine.

I honestly don't think that the 08 can tow less than the 09's..its the same breaks, the same engine...they (Yamaha) just upped their specs for 09.
The few 'improvements' for 09 are not worth the extra price tag on the 08 models IMO.
Thicker CV boots?? Most put aftermarket A arm guards on anyways.
Softer Seat? Didn't know mine wasn't soft.. Foam is cheap if I wanted to add some
Not pickin on ya Doge, just playing devils advocate
The money you save picking up an 08 'leftover' vs the 09 you can probably buy a full set of aftermarket skid plates or tires/rims.
Whatever you do....get it w/ EPS

"Override button allows engine to make maximum rpm in full Diff Lock mode."
What does this mean? Do you have to hold a button in to get full RPM while in Diff lock mode?</end quote></div>
I really don't think this is a problem as you do not want to go fast with the differential locked and you can get quite a bit of power out of it without using the over ride button. It does not keep the RPM's down nearly like an over ride button in reverse; at least mine doesn't.
