there is something wrong with my raptor it just snowed i was riding the road and then it started to sputter then it shut off it wouldnt start up then about 5 more minutes started back up and then abotu 500 feet it shut off and then it repeated again many times. It wasnt low on oil does anyone Know wat the problem is

 

Sounds like a fuel problem. You did have the gas on and didn;t run out etc I am assuming, so the first thing I would do is drain out that gas and put in a new batch it may be contaminated.

 

1+ on fuel. check your carb.

 

I'm assuming the choke isn't on, correct?

 

Make sure you did not run out of gas.....lol......seriously those fuel tanks are very deceiving...... they look a lot more full on first glance than they really are. Yamaha shaped that tank so that when you look straight down it looks full almost all the time. But most of the fuel can be gone and you can still on quick glance think you see more there.

 

yeah beefy you were right i drained the gas then put a full tank in. i quess it was bad gas, is ethynol bad for your carb my friend said it messed up his yfz

 

Uh yeah, just run regular gas.
