Default 2005 Yamaha Grizzly V-Belt Issue

I own a 2005 Yamaha 660 Grizzly. I have had it since it was new. The problem, I just recently had the problem with the ATV not going forward or backward and when I took off the V-Belt cover there was Oil in the case. Is there supposed to be oil in there? I am guessing not but I am not sure, I do have a repair manual for my particular model but it does not say wheter or not there is supposed to be oil in there. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

there should be no oil in/around the belts. drain and dry out as best you can. even spray carb cleaner on it to dislodge the oil. is the belt slipping when you put it into drive? sounds lika a seal is leaking engine/tranny oil

Yep, Got the issue resolved. It was a seal, the outer on behind the case, set me back about $300.00. Thanks for the info though.

Use brake cleaner spray on your pully shieves to make sure all the oil residue is removed.
