Default YFZ 450 or Banshee

I have a cousin who's 13, about the same age as me. He asked me the other day what quad he should get out of these two. I didnt want to answer because i've never ridden either and didn't want to give him the wrong info. What do you guys think? He's about 5'2'' i think. probably weighs about 130. He's been riding for over 6 years including a blaster which he sold. He wants to know if he's too small for the yfz or if it's too much power for him. he also wants to know if the banshee is a good for openfield/trail riding and maybe a little jumping here and there. All answers and suggestions would be appreciated. Oh yea, one thing is that he isn't too fond of Hondas so don't suggest any honda quads.

P.S. i also posted this in the "Sport Quads" section if your wondering

I think both quads might be too much power for him. If I had to choose I would put him on a banshee though. It is less powerful than the 450. Just make sure and baby the 2-stroke engine on the banshee.

I haven't ridden it but i own the 700. I think that would work out better for him than the banshee or 450.

yea i have a polaris predator 500. I was lookin around on the iternet and read some reviews about the 350 and alot of people said that it lacks power in some areas. Will the 350 be making him ask for more power? Im guessing he wants something thats at least faster then a 200 blaster considering that's what he used to ride.

Banshee is a 2 stroke..Unless he knows 2 smokers I would stay way clear of them 450 no way ..That is a racing atv he is way to small and in-exprienced for one..Raptor 340 or a warrior or a Wolverine I'd say ..

he would be better off with the rappy 350 or mabye a warrior. the banshee is too powerful for someone that size, and the yfz is no better.

Yeah the Banshee and 450 would be way too much quad for him. Between the 2, I say the 450 would be safer because the powerband comes on much smoother than the Banshee and is easier to control. But I think the Raptor 350 is too slow for him. A 400cc quad would be better, like the Suzuki 400Z, or the Honda 400EX is a great quad, even though he doesn't like Honda's.
