I know this is a yamaha forum, but, there is no KTM forum. How do the KTM quads stack up against the YFZ's. I know some models are wider and thats an advantage outside of tight trails.

 

The KTM is the ultimate Race Ready machine. If you run track then you would want the SX model. If you do woods, XC model. Yamaha is no chump but compared to the KTM they are not much. KTM comes from the factory with some of the best tires and wheels, suspension, exhaust and intake. They both have the same top speed but the KTM will get there quicker. You can't get a better ride than a KTM.

 

Thing with the KTM is that as Stoopid here said, they come stock with many of the things you have to mod the yfz to get. BUT, aftermarket support is there for the yfz. You can add-on and mod till your blue in the face. The KTM is still lacking a bit in that department if you ask me. Then again, what do you need besides an exhaust system to finish her up. (Nerfs and Bars and I'd be done.)

Man I want to ride one of them KTM's so bad it's not even funny.

 

Ktm is the ultimate machine for racing. No machine can stack up to it unless you pay 5000 or more in upgrades.

 

I'm a little late to this dance...but my KTM still amazes me. handling, acceleration, suspension, etc it's awesome. The only things I have done is a damper in the front, I've adjusted/softened the front suspension - (the ohlins are sweet!!) and threw on nerfs. I want another one!
