Hey everyone, I blew the tires on my Banshee today. I was wondering which would be better for trails/mx. I am considering Shredders, or Holeshot XC's. I ride a little more trails than I do MX, so.. I need something durable. Which would get more traction.. or would Turf Tamers be better?? I really want traction, without sidebite. I like the way Shredders handle on a 300ex.. but.. I'm not sure on a Banshee. Also, On the front! Do they have Radial Tires for stock rims?? All I can find is K&K radials, JL radials, and the all famous Nacs. Which place would be the best.. Rocky Mountain is the cheapest. Any Replies Appreciated.

I run the maxxis Razr and they are awsome. Very puncture resistant as they are a 6ply, I think they are the only 6ply in the 20in tire size too. Holeshots are good for traction, but lack the 6ply in a 20in tire.

I don't want 6 Ply. 4 Ply is great, 6 is too heavy, 2 is too easily cut.

Radial fronts and Turf Tamers are not the hot setup for trail riding. The radial fronts pack very easy with mud and then loose their directional control. If you watch a muddy race you will see the radials come off, and another tire with more opend up tread pattern go on. The turf tamers hane no life. They also have no puncture resistance. I would go with any of the tires the other guys are talking about. The tires they are talking about will work better in MX, than the MX only radials and turf tamers will on trails. Just my opinion and experience though!

For the Banshee, the holeshot rears give better traction than any other tire I've tried by a large margin. They come in 4 or 6 ply. They don't have as good side bite as some tires. I thought they were a little more prone to spinning out then some other tires but the forward traction can't be beat. If a tire seems to work on another machine that doesn't necessarily mean it will work for a Banshee. I have Bandit Rears on my Raptor but when I tried them on my Banshee they just spun like mad. Rikens will fit on the stock front rims. I like Bandit fronts for trail riding.
