The wolverine would be the best choice of the two for hunting and making trails.

First of all if you want to hunt the Wolverine is the choice!! The blaster is two stroke and if you get in mud you will look like a swamp beast.
I think you should get a wolverine because i personly think that 2strokes are not desireable for hunting and you can not putt around on them. and the 2stroke always smokes. also very loud!! The wolverine is your choice!!!

Personally not cuz I have a blaster, but Id go with the blaster just for the fact a new wheeler is much better than a used one, you never know what kind of abuse a wheeler has been through, even if it looks pretty, the only real way to know you are not buying a junker is to buy new. What does your son think? If you go with the one he wants then it will probally get used alot more?? anyways just a thought....

Forgot to mention, unlike people think, you can putt-putt around on a blaster without problems, actually I do it quite alot, couldnt do it with the banshee but this thing has the option of going slow... Also it is NOT loud at all, actually today I started it up in frount of the house and blew some donuts and nobody inside even knew... With the stock exhaust system it is very quiet, it sounds like a weed wacker not much louder, however take the end piece out of the muffler and look out cuz it sounds like a beast.. As far as the smoke it really is not bad at all, most of the time you cannot even see it.

I agree. The Blaster is very quiet and you CAN putt around on them. I also do it often with no problems.

well to respond to the know it all the wolverine is a much better trail bike because the Blaster has a very high gear range and no low end power!!!!!!!!!! I have neither one of these but have ridden both and I can tell you that the blaster is under powered to its rival the trailblazer! And if you had to haul a 150 pound deer on a blaster up an inbankment you would have a complete loss of power and would stall!!! It also does not even have 4 wheel drive and the wolverine is full time. Remember this is unbiased response. Thank you for your time. Hope you do not buy the blaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! From: Smart guy
You are wrong to: No it alls!!

I completely disagree! I beleive that the Blaster is not underpowered at all! No it doesnt have 4x4 but does any real sport bike have it? NO.It is a great quad but for mudding and going slow I would go with the wolverine. But the Blaster is a very powerful bike. I can pull the front end up in any gear with no prob. I have never tried to putt up and inbankment with a deer on though cause thats not what sport bikes are made for.

I have ridden both, but the wolverine was 4 or so years ago so does not really count, it was a fine atv all around, better in the mud, though not quite as thrilling, Banshee's have almost no low end power so you have to keep them in the high rpm's or powerband for it to run right, so its fast or faster, blasters though have a very short stroke and are powerful all the way through, you keep them in the low-medium rpm's and every couple minutes open it up a little, the banshee was NUTS, the blaster was somewhat like a banshee with the powerband but you actually have the option of going slow. If you ask the question which will have less problems or need less parts replaced a used wolverine (probally 95-96) or a brand spankin new blaster I say the blaster... The wolverine will by far surpass the blaster in the mud, but if you can go through the mud on the blaster then you can go through it on anything
