Default Blaster 2 stroke or YFZ450R

Should I spend money buying a YFZ450R or should I spend money decking out my already purchased Yamaha Blaster 05' 250cc (all stock) things like pipe, turbo, Plastic s, Everything to deck out the visuals and deck out the performance.

Which choice is going to give me the better more fun atv, Something thats going to shred the trails and I can just have the most fun with.

oh and also I'm not sure which is cheeper a Tricked out Yamaha Blaster or a YFZ450R?

To me i would go with the yfz cuz i turbo alone is probably going to be couple grand with all the parts and you can pick up a yfz now for really cheap off the show room floor

I would go with the 450. Modifying a Blaster is a waste of money. You could dump a ton of money into a Blaster and it will still not perform nearly as good as a stock 450.

Im talking pretty much over the course of quite a few years I take my blaster and replace a great deal of it with totally upgraded parts. I'm not sure what I am going to do I mean no one can give me a definite answer on if i should save up 3 grand or over the course of years spend 3 grand progressively until my atv kicks ***!

the only sure thing is that your blaster with every part on it replaced and upgraded still wont touch the 450r stock thats just how it is i would save and get the 450 but its up to you and how long your willing to wait

There is no question, follow the advice of every other member who posted and go with the better quad instead of dumping a lot of money you'll never get back into a blaster.

BTW the blaster is a 200cc motor, not a 250cc motor.

I think that we are all on the same page, TxSBlaster due to your age you would be outclassed on a Blaster in competittion. You could run the 200 in the school boy sr call against the four hndies but you would have so work to do. If you are running the National circuit go out and get a four hundy and put the suspension on it.

I just found out that dade city has a blaster/raptor series so i think ill just hunk up my blaster and race there, Im not trying to make a living off of it or anything I just want to have some fun on the track. I really want a 400 or 450 but I dont have that kinda dough so i think ill just stick with my 12 year olds blaster....
