the DS also won The Roof of Africa race.the DS was modded,but it only had 1/4 the mods that the Raptor had in the Baja race.would it kill you guys to give a little credit to the DS.i mean,for a 1st year production bike it turned out pretty good,considering their new to the atv world,i think they done very well on thier 1st bike.by the way,dont let the bashing get to you.personally i dont care what people say about what i ride as long as i enjoy.there are just alot of imature people out there that like to keep something going.i could care less if my DS will beat a Raptor or anythink else as long as im having fun.isnt that what its all about? having fun.

First If Doug Eichner had not freakin wrecked off of an embankment the Raptor would probably been fine. Second, The honda was still ahead until he pulled over and Let the BOMB go by because he thought it would be a Trophy truck. Those guys drive about 120MPH and dont stop for quads so youd get out the way too. Also since the DS is a DESERT quad. I would hope it had some advantage.
And finally if it went close to 100mph like Sundahl claimed It was not at all stock. Just like the Graydon Proline and Timmy boy arms on it. think those where stock. What was stock the spark plug?

 

yeah these guys think that any of those quads were stock, yeah right! I am going to race a ds this year up north in mich, and this guy thinks he is going to whip me. well hes got a suprise in store for him. he has never heard of a raptor and is giving me a 5 bike start. oh well. i am not ripping on the ds, but it is way to wide for the trails and too heavy. just tell them all to shut up and race, thats all!!!!

the mods to the baja raptor where: badit front and rear tires on stock rims with beadlocks welded on, TCS front shocks , ct exaust, new front bumber, uni filter, timmy boy a-arms, new gearing, and a big gastank. that is fairly stock. oh, yeah, it had the aftermarket lighting too. does anyone know the mods on the dirtwheels raptor?

I'm nuetral I have a 400 but as far as qauds go raptors are more all around. the ds might be a little faster on the track but you throw as wide a-arms on it the 660 would kill it. #1 its liter, #2 its fast, #3 the suspension awesome, #4 it feelS to high. the DS is very heavy, thats why you dont see it on very many mx tracks thats just my opinion. you ds guys are bragging about "you" won the baja, I didnt see you on that qaud. as far as that goes the 440 was right behide it and it had the same average speed. ITS A FULL 210 MORE IT SHOULD HAVE KILLED IT.

so basically what your saying is that not just 1 but 2 quads beat the raptor. now thats sad because the raptor has even more cc's than the Ds.

 

What makes the DS not as good on a MX track as the Raptor helps it on the open class desert races.Wider stance,heavier by 80 lbs and long legs is what you need to race open class. What do you think the Raptor had to give up to be 80 lbs lighter,they call it strenght, you get nothing for nothing.
