Not only did the DS650 win the"Baja 2000" &"ROOF OF AFRICA" races but the "NEW KING" has also recently won the "Numb Bum" 24hr ice race.Not bad for a desert machine.I'm sure there will be MORE victories in the future.
So yamahaha riders BETTER get used to it!

The Numb Bum? never heard of it.
There was only one DS in the top 7 at Baja, and
that Team has a Driver(whos name I am tired of
mentioning) who has Dominated the King of Desert
and Baja for Years.
The Raptor did good it's 1st Quarter out, How did the DS do last year?
The Raptor did good in Roof of Africa as did the 400EX considering they were NOT factory efforts.
A Raptor led most of Baja, pretty good esp when they were only piped, the stock Alba Quad comes
with Pipes and K&N jet and air filter kit among
other things.
If we were to use S/X, M/X and GNC point standings
(based on total place finishes) say 1st = 10, 10th
=1, the Baja totals would be,
1st the 400EX(actually 440, still at a cc disadvantage),22 points.
2nd the Raptor, 17 points.
3rd the DS, 10 points.
So as you can see figures can also be turned around, and when other facets come out, i.e.
Factory support, riders on the team, ect
then it gets even better.
Raptor owners can say "we just got here september".

good point bartman, but consider this......
If you went out and paid $7399 for a quad and a year later one came out that was $900 cheaper, weighed 80 lbs. less, had better throttle response, looked better, handled better, could handle jumps better, and all the magazines picked it over yours wouldn't you be a little upset.
Point is they are just a bunch of guys or kids that are upset that they get spanked by all the raptors they compete against. As far as them winning the baja, even blind dogs get laid once in a while.

well there the idiots that bought it. if a new quad came out a yr later that costed $900 cheaper and they paid $7399 well then thats there problem not mine.
