Default Yamaha Warrior Wont start

Hi i recently got a 96 warrior. When i got it the guy said the carb was messed up. Well i cleaned it all out and put it back together and it cranked and i ended up having to spray starting fluid in it and pop she started right up. I drove it and it just shut off when i went into 3rd. Now it wont start at all. Has compression, spark, and its getting fuel. Any ideas?

Yea everything sounded good. It sat there idling fine. Then i drove it and it ran good and then outta no where it shut off and wont start now. Yes it has oil i wouldnt think that would cause it to not start at all though could it? Ive been doing research and im wondering if the cdi box is gone bad?

sounds like the carb is still outta wack, either too much fuel or not enough, when you try to start it after a while do u start to smell gas like its flooding? and the spark is blue and consistant? try grounding out the threads when u test it then ground out the electrode just to see if its still a nice spark when doing this.

I actually bought a brand new carb. Still same problem. And no it doesnt smell like its flooding. The spark is consistant.

check your valve clearances, it might not even have any valve clearance but i would check that also.
