Could someone please post the steps on how to take the baffle out of the stock exhaust. I just ordered the KandN air filter with the outerwear. After putting it on will i notice anything??

 

to take the baffle out, just remove the screw that is holding it into the outlet of the exhaust, and pull it out-(may require pliers).

You should notice a difference with the K&N filter, and should probably adjust the jetting.

 

How would i go about adjusting the jetting. Since i dont really know how to do it should i take it to the dealer. Or is it simple enough i can do myself.

 

You don't need to mess with the jets when getting an air filter. For the first couple of years I had my warrior I had a pipe and a K&N filter and NEVER rejetted my quad. It ran perfect. I also ride at 6000 ft. On top of that I rode at 13,000 ft with the stock jetting. It ran fine except for a little power loss and hard starting. My quad has NEVER givin me any trouble. If you just have a filter YOU DON'T NEED TO WASTE YOUR TIME WITH JETTING. Now if you drill holes in your box then yes you will need to rejet it. The stock airbox and intake are poorly designed. My mechanic told me to drill some holes in the top of the box and put a foam filter over my K&N. I asked him if I needed to rejet at that time he said NO. As long as the foam filter is over the K&N. My mechanic is also the guy how did all of the mods on my engine including porting and polishing my head. He did say that the foam filter needs to be well oiled. Don't just stick your outware over your filter and drill hole without rejetting. You should have a foam over your K&N, I just stuck my stock foam filter over mine it's kind of a stretch but it works and works well. Like I said my quad has Never givin me any trouble.
