Breeze starting problems
#1
Someone please offer some input...
I have a 2001 Breeze (for the kiddies) with less than 30 hours on it. The darn thing usually starts right off, but lately, I can crank and crank the starter but the bike will not turn over.
I do not notice a difference whether in no/half/or full choke. Gas is on, bike is in neutral, run switch is on..I've checked and rechecked all that stuff.
Any advice from other Breeze or Yamaha owners before I take it to the dealer?
Thanks in advance!

Hey 4Monkeys~
I started riding on an 89' Breeze and it had that same problem twice. The first time was about 1990...the valves went bad and had to be replaced. Now my uncles owns the machine and the same thing just happened last October. That's my experience with the quad but hopefully it isn't the valves gone bad! Have you checked the sparkplug? How old is the gas? Have you tried draining the carb incase some water might have accumulated in there? Post again with anymore concerns.

We have a Breeze 2000. If it does not start, I put in a new spark plug. It usually starts immediately. One time we transported with a trailer it on a 200-mile trip. After unloading the Breeze, it did not start even with new spark plug. I disconnected the gas line running to the carburetor to see if the line was plugged. I connected the line, and it started right up. I do not know why it corrects the starting problem. It has started fine since.
