When matching up your Yamaha filter with another brand, you may want to take a look and see if the replacement has the by-pass valve in the bottom of it like the Yamaha. It may not make a big difference most of the time but it is a safety valve in case your filter plugs up, the by-pass will open and still allow the oil to flow to the engine. I have looked a a couple that that does not have it and I would rather pay a little more for one with it than take a chance on loosing an engine some time. Just a thought. If you do find one with the by-pass, I would certainly like to know about it. My son had a R6 and NAPA crossed it for him. I did not look to see if it had a by-pass but am going to check it out when my warranty is out and am ready to make a change in filters.

DesertRaptor!
If you are getting a genuine Yamaha filter (part # 5DM-13440-00) for $3.50, how about me sending you the money to get me a case of them?
