ok i got a warrior its start about and runs great, itll go into reverse and run perfectt. but when i go to shift into forward gears itll make a lound clunk, and bang and no move? any ideas??? its a extremly lound horrible metal on metabl clunking.

 

Hows the oil?
Is it full?
Have you changed it?
What color was it when you changed it if you did?
Was there metal shavings?
What kind of oil is in it?

 

My buddy had the same thing happen to his warrior. The reverse gear teeth were shot. He took it to a repair shop, they told him that it happened because he would be in a forward gear when he shifted into reverse. Apperently you have to have the wheeler in the neutral position when you shift into reverse. Best of luck.

 

oil looks good added a quart stop the engine cling but still wont shift into grear, itll shift in but wont engage.

The gear is located forward of the output shaft inside the case. You will have to split the transmission case to get to it.

Is there any validity to that? I don't ever put my warrior in nuetral before I shift it into reverse but I have never had any problems.

I would definitly think that something was wrong internally with the transmission, though. Does it make any noise in the transmission when your driving in reverse?

 

check adjustment of shifter linkage. may not be it but is worth a try and its free.

 

yea try to adjust the linkage, it might be worth a shot, i know when i use reverse on mine i put it into neutral first to be on safe side
