how to adjust chain on warrior?
#1
im tradeing my 85 lt230s for an 87warrior 350. the engine was just rebuilt and runs strong. the down side is i hace to replace the chain and sprockets, upped chain bushing, and new battery.
my question is, will it be hard to change the sprockets? and how do you tention the chain? never had to deal with tentioning the chain on my other atv so i dont know how to do it correctly.

There should be 2 screw in the middle of the rear axle with locknuts on them. Loosen the locknuts and adjust the screws as needed then tighten the locknuts. There should be 1 and 1/2 inches of play up and down with the rider sitting on the quad.

Probably pointing out the obvious but, make sure you turn both screws the same exact number of times so the axle stays square. There should be paint already on the bolt heads so you can see how many turns you run.

yep, loosen top and bottom bearing carrier bolts then loosen up the adjuster bolts and you should be able to rock the bearing carrier back and forth by your hands then just get it as tight as you want it then tighten the bolts up and make sure the adjusters are in the same amount, also helps if somebody sits on your bike while you make the adjustments for the chain.
