My 2006 Blaster has recently started leaking gas running or not. before i start taking the carb apart. does anyone think it is something other than the float?

Default Yamaha Blaster leaking gas

if its coming out of the bowls overflow tube then most likely it is the float sticking or something, prolly just needs cleaned up

Yea, its either a stuck float or a dirty pilot jet.

should I remove the carb? Can clean the float from just removing the float chamber?

Remove the carb and clean the float and idle jet a little better. If you have an air compressor then spray out the choke and idle jet holes.
