yamaha blaster brake problem
#1
i have an 02 yamaha blaster which means i have mechanical drum
my back brakes dont work at all and i think i know why (brake pads are shot)
but today i was going down the road and i pulled my brake in and i heard something snapped
i got into the bush and looked and i didnt see anything
so i pulled my front brake lever in and both cables pulled like they are supposed to
my left front tire stops on a dime and skids and throws me around
the right front tire keeps moving and doesnt stop but the cable squeezes together like supposed to
does this mean i need a new brake pads in the front?
please help
thanks

Not to burst your bubble but the pre 03 blaster brakes are garbage. If you plan on keeping the quad DEFINITELY look into the hydraulic brake upgrade for at least the front but preferably the rear as well.
You can keep replacing cables and levers and pads and calipers but they are going to continue to give you problems until you upgrade to hydraulic

one of the ways you can do it is pull on the cable with your hand then squeeze the lever with your other hand both with force then let go of the lever real fast and it should pop out, when you get used to it its a breeze, i used to do it all the time when i assembled atv units.
