can any one tell me what the tors unit is and what it does?

 

TORS

Throttle Override System. Its designed to cut off fuel supply if the throttle gets stuck wide open. It doesnt work and causes electrical headaches. Get rid of it.

 

are there any special kits or just unplug the wire harnis.could this cause idol problems?

 

There is a kit but just try unplugging the wire coming out of the top of your carb. Then there is a box you should unplug under the front plastic. One is the CDI the other is the tors. I think the smaller one is the tors. Unplug it. Also unplug the wire coming out of your throttle box.

 

if your having an idle problem or a weird problem with it not wanting to rev up then i would definitely look into tors also, check out this link it should help u with eliminating it

thanks man..heres the mods.vito big bore kit 240,+3mm stroker crank,rad valve reeds.full fmf fattie,hyd brakes all round,race cut fenders,+2 on the swing arm(would have went 4 but i do my best riden on the back wheels)suspension widened in the front 3 inches on each side in the front.white bros shocks,vito degree key,vito boost bottle,fly handle bars,dyno jet kit.hopfuly soon tors eliminator kit

but i know i have a tors unit on it
can i just leave it on there it runs fine

ok so i jz bought a blaster last night and this morning it wont run. it smokes and it wont idle or go out of first gear and it keeps back firing then dieing and suggestions. please help me

 

Did it run when you bought it? I kind of find it hard to believe it went bad overnight. More details my friend....

Won't Idle is a choke issue usually (until it's warmed up at least). won't go out of first gear is not much of a description.... "Sounds" like a possible TORS issue (Park brake is set, and you need to release it), but maybe not. Shoot a video of it and post what it's doing for us,....
