Warrior 38mm PE Keihin Carb
#1
Just bought a 38mm keihin carb. Hooked it up and it seems that it is running way to rich. It has a 160 mainjet. Question is what should the mainjet be?
It bogs down about quarter throttle and if you just hammer it, it will bog and die.
My mods:
mild p/p
bored 20 over
hotcam stage 1
Kibblewhite valves
cobra exhaust
dyna cdi
K/N Filter
MSR Handlebars
Carlisle Badland Tires
Alloy Front bumper and Rear grab bar
Oh, well see for yourself
Here's a pic!

Get rid of that damn Cobra exhaust. We need a sticky in this forum that says no one should use Cobra exhaust on a Warrior--they are worse than stock. You are really missing out on the potential of your mods with that pipe--get an HMF sport or something comparable.

because its pretty much a straight pipe lol, horrible design the ones ive seen dont even have packing, heres what there pipes are, tin can with an exhaust cap, the end lol, i used to use a cobra all i can say is at low rpms it sounded decent after that crap, power was crap, after getting an HMF difference was literally unreal, so much more power from idle to top end, cobra makes some ok accessories and decent harley pipes but they really failed on atv pipes
DG which stands for dont get and cobra are both poorly designed fart cans.

I would definitely play with the jet size a little and loose the cobra exhaust. Is that a body kit?

Just a quick question, why did you go to a 38 mm ? stock is a 36, I believe, and that is plenty big for even a big bore kit. You will get more top end power with a bigger carb, but the throttle response and low end will suffer. Unless you plan on some real work on the motor that makes it flow a lot more than stock, I would have stayed with a 34-36 mm aftermarket carb. Also depends on your use, are you running it flat out all the time, and don't care about bottom end, or are you looking for snappy trail performance?
