Ya it should be a good quad unless it turns out like the bike did unreliable. Eventually if and once they get all the bugs out of there technology then I would consider one but untill then I'll stay with the jap companies although when it comes to mountain bikes cannondale rocks so hopefully all these companies doing battle for a highperfomace reliable quad will pay off for all of us consumers.

I believe you are having some problem reading the graphic. I suggest you take a better look:

I think you better check the graph out..it's saying the raptor is only putting out 28 hp ya ok more like 36-37 bringing it up to .0857. I seriuosly doubt that brake fluid and oil weigh for the Raptor weigh 23 pounds seeing how the 660's dry weight is 397. I'd say 8 pounds max--making it 405 div by 37 == .0914. So Actually Cannondale is just lying to you.. BEST POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO ==RAPTOR . So how's that Raptor-haters.

Let me redo that 38 hp with another 5 pounds for all you GUYS. 38 div by 410=.0927.

I'll even do it with the number of pounds they supplied, which probaly isn't correct
38 div by 420 = .905 cannondale .0892 RAPTOR is still better.

EVEN BETTER than the first time. Geez, I love my Raptor....

its pretty hard to worry about something thats been a running joke for the last year or two.they [cannondale] tries to get everyone hyped up about it and they cant even tell you when theyre going to be in production.besides they still look like frogs.

hey ericsraptor you live in portage, why don't you just run your raptor over the mountain and throw that cannondale a beating at their factory. I used to live in johnstown so I know it's under an hour drive for you and it sure would make all of us raptor owners very proud.

DSAPP, You really got a kick out of their website didn't you? I say that because you've got about the same thing going on over at www.extremedirtbike.com. However, like here, I don't think most of them are falling for Cannondales load of bull.

I did a little addin' and came up with this.

Figure in the weights that Cannondale gave (even if they are slanted against the competitors) with a 160lb rider.

Let's go with more accepted HP numbers, but still on the conservative side.

Raptor 580lbs. with rider. 38 HP.
38/580= .065

DS650 659lbs. with rider. 42 HP.
42/659= .063

Cannondale 530lbs. with rider. 33 HP.
33/530= .062

The more the rider weighs, the worse off it becomes for the Cannondale or any other quad with less HP.

Also, as I stated in the other forum, it's a little fishy that they left the Banshee off of their list.

Oh, that's an honest comparison. You simply add 10HP to what they consider to be true for the raptor, but let the others stay the same. Why didn't you added 10HP to every bike ? Or better yet, why didn't you added 30% to all the graphic figures.
I think you don't need to be a PhD in Economics to do that.
By the way, I don't hate the Raptor. In fact I like it. You don't need to convince me that it is a very good quad, specially with that kind of silly arguments.
