I use a slime type of goop in my tires that i got from the dealer. This stuff realy does the job .. have had large nails, and much more with no flats. However have not used the name brand "slime" in my tires.

I used it when i had the stockers on the rims but it came right off when i changed the tires so dont worry about that and it worked great when i needed it

I've used it for years in my mountain bikes and it works great. Big holes sometimes it won't though. Today we were riding and I got a big twig/branch into my tire. I was able to limp back to the truck and found I had no slime in that tire. We put some in and then the air compressor broke so we drove into town and aired up. It didn't hold air! So we decided to call it a day and when we got home we found it had sealed and with the pressure from coming down the mountain the tire is almost back to regular pressure and the hole is sealed.
