Hi all first post -

Just bought 2006 Wolverine 450 with a winch set-up but no winch. It has the thumb switch, the relay, power cables & mounting bracket but no winch motor. The guy I bought it from told me that it was a mongrel brand that he picked up for around $125.

My questions are - do I need to get the entire kit or are the mounting brackets and relays unversal for all brands?

How big should I go - on ebay they have the cheepies rated at 1,000 lb, 2,000 lb and 3,000 lb.? - wouldn't a 3,000 lb pull my machine apart??

Anyone have any experience with the cheepies on ebay or should I go with a beand name?

Skid I purchased a gorilla winch for my 06 wolverine. I think its a 2500 lb winch. Im very happy with it. I got all the parts I needed. I ordered a winch mount from :: Fuse Powersports || Ignite Your FuseŽ ::. Very nice mount. I did have a problem with the contactor that came with the winch. One phone call to gorilla and they sent me a new one. If I had it to do over I would have got the blue rope instead of the cable. But Im still happy with the whole setup.
